As we prepare to get back to our shops, we need to take some time to educate ourselves and be ready for what the new world of tattooing will look like. With this in mind, it would be a great time to learn more about how we can protect ourselves and our staff and customers during this pandemic

While we wait on the new protocols we will be receiving from our Government in order to start work, there is no better time to complete a course or get a refresher. We have gathered some courses relevant to South Africa:

Presents airborne pathogens of concern to emergency care providers, including TB, measles and chickenpox. Presents other diseases of concern to pre-hospital providers, including pertussis, meningitis, seasonal flu and MRSA. Presents the airborne precautions, droplet precautions and contact precautions that can be employed in addition to standard precautions. Demonstrates what actions to take after an exposure incident.

Presents types of bloodborne pathogens of concern to emergency care providers, including HBV, HCV and HIV. Reviews standards and requirements outlined in OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens standard. Presents standard precautions, safe work practices and engineering controls used to prevent or minimize the risk of occupational exposure. Demonstrates what actions to take after an exposure incident
